As a DSP, your responsibilities will include helping with personal care tasks, assisting with meal preparation, facilitating community engagement, and promoting social interactions. Key Responsibilities

• Support individuals with daily living tasks including personal grooming, bathing, and meal planning.
• Encourage and participate in social activities and community events to enhance individuals' social connections.
• Monitor and document client progress in accordance with their individualized support plans.
• Provide companionship and emotional support to foster trust and rapport.
• Maintain a safe and healthy environment, adhering to all safety protocols and guidelines.
• Collaborate with families and other team members to address the needs of each individual.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; experience in a related field is highly desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with clients and their families.
• Empathy and patience when working with individuals of varying abilities and needs.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for work-related travel.
• Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as necessary.
• CPR and First Aid certification is a plus, with a willingness to obtain if not currently certified.
