Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, ensuring freshness and quality.
- Assist in menu planning and preparation of food items in accordance with established recipes.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of meals.
- Participate in food inventory management, including stocking and ordering supplies as needed.
- Contribute to a positive team environment focused on collaboration and excellence.
- Stay updated on culinary trends and techniques to enhance skills and menu offerings.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a kitchen setting is preferred, but not mandatory for entry-level positions.
- Strong passion for cooking and a desire to learn and grow in the culinary field.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Willingness to take direction and be open to feedback from senior kitchen staff.
- For more senior roles, previous experience in a similar role and a culinary qualification is advantageous.
