Job Description and Responsibilities

This is a full-time, on-site role as a Special Education Teacher located in Floresville, TX

The Special Education Teacher will be responsible for providing instruction and support to students with disabilities in a school setting. Daily tasks include creating lesson plans, implementing individualized education programs (IEPs), assessing student progress, and collaborating with other educators and professionals. 

• 2025-2026 School Year (March through June)

• Grades 6th-8th
• Life Skills self contained classroom
• $50 - $65/ hour
• Dual support from the district and TheraPeds

Requirements

Qualifications

• Teaching Certification, Bachelors or Masters Degree or higher in Special Education
• State License as as SPED teacher
• 2+ years of experience in a school setting preferred
• Organizational and time management skills
• Proficient in use of technology
• Fingerprint background clearance
• Ability to collaborate with school staff and parents with a demonstrated ability to exercise a high level of tact and discretion in both internal and external communications

Physical Requirements

If applicable, working and playing with students requires that employees must be able to perform the necessary physical movement functions, as needed, such as lifting, sitting, walking, standing, crawling and engaging with students in all physical locations and activities.
