We are looking for a passionate Waiter/Waitress to be the heart of our dining experience. You aren't just serving food; you are a Sunset Greeter, the welcoming face of our clifftop terrace. As a menu storyteller, you will guide guests through ONDA’s culinary journey with the expertise of a seasoned sailor, ensuring every interaction is as breathtaking as the Ericeira horizon.


Essential Job Functions & Responsibilities

  • Guest Engagement & Service: Greet guests with genuine warmth and professionalism. Take accurate orders and provide expert recommendations on our menu and wine pairings. Handle special requests and dietary restrictions with care, ensuring every guest feels at home.
  • Dining Excellence: Serve delectable meals and beverages with precision and flair. Whether on the ONDA terrace or at the pool bar, ensure that presentation and quality always meet our high Aethos standards.
  • The Art of Mise-en-Place: Support all service preparations, ensuring tables are perfectly set and all designated areas—from the dining room to the saltwater pool side—are looking their absolute best.
  • Smooth Operations: Manage transactions and payments (cash, card, or digital) promptly and accurately. Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic workspace, following all morning/evening routines and safety protocols.
  • Team Synergy: Collaborate closely with the kitchen staff and management to ensure a seamless flow. Participate in briefings and training sessions, contributing to a positive, solution-focused "community" environment.

    • Core Competencies & Requirements

  • Language Skills: Fluency in Portuguese and English is mandatory.
  • Natural Host: You possess a genuine enthusiasm for hospitality and a warm, approachable, guest-first attitude.
  • Experience: A minimum of 5 years in hospitality is highly valued, though your natural ability to connect with people is equally important.
  • Reliability as the Tide: Consistent attendance and punctuality are required. You are flexible and ready to "ride the wave" of a dynamic hotel schedule, including evenings, weekends, and special events.
  • Professional Demeanor: You remain calm and genuine under pressure, maintaining high standards of cleanliness, safety, and professionalism at all times.
