You don’t need deep specialty coffee experience to join us — we’ll train the right person. What matters most here is reliability, a positive attitude, care for community, and a willingness to learn.

What You’ll Do

Craft great coffee & experiences

• Make and serve coffee and related drinks with attention to quality and consistency
• Share recommendations and connect with guests with genuine warmth

Keep the hive humming

• Work confidently in busy service periods
• Stay productive during quieter times (restock, clean, prep, organize)

Support good vibes and teamwork

• Treat teammates and guests with respect
• Communicate clearly and stay open to coaching
• Contribute to a space that feels inclusive and welcoming for everyone

Standards that matter

• Maintain clean and safe workstations and guest areas

Requirements

What We’re Looking For

We’re vibing with people who are:

• Punctual, dependable, and ready to work
• Comfortable taking initiative and staying productive
• Friendly, welcoming, and great with people
• Open to feedback and growth
• Able to thrive independently and as part of a team

Hospitality or customer service experience is a big plus but not required. Specialty coffee knowledge is welcomed — not required.

Schedule & Availability

We’re looking for team members who are open to being scheduled for shifts between 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM, primarily Wednesday through Sunday.

• Shifts fall within our morning café hours (6:30 AM start required for opening shifts)
• Weekend availability is especially helpful
• Schedules vary week to week based on business needs
• Average hours are anticipated to be 25–30 per week
• Team members must be able to work at both our New Britain and West Hartford locations

You won’t necessarily work every day or every opening shift — we’re building a flexible team that supports one another and keeps the hive running smoothly.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
