Position Purpose
The Quality Assurance Engineer (P2) is responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of web-based applications through structured manual testing practices. This role focuses on designing, executing, and maintaining test scenarios to support high-quality software releases while collaborating closely with cross-functional Agile teams.

Key Responsibilities
• Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test cases
• Execute manual test scenarios in preparation for software releases
• Identify, diagnose, document, and track defects using bug tracking tools
• Perform regression testing after defect resolution
• Conduct ad-hoc testing across various product features
• Validate data using SQL queries where required
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and project managers in Agile environments
• Ensure product quality standards are met before production deployment
• Explore and gain exposure to automation testing processes

Technical Expertise
• Strong knowledge of Manual Testing and Black Box Testing methodologies
• Basic understanding of SQL for data validation
• Familiarity with web-based application testing
• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Exposure to defect lifecycle management
• Basic exposure to automation concepts

Technology Stack
• Manual Testing
• SQL
• Jira or equivalent project management/bug tracking tools
• Web-based applications
• Exposure to AI tools or LLM models (Added Advantage)
• Basic exposure to Automation tools (Added Advantage)

Education, Experience and Certification
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 2+ years of experience in Black Box / Manual Testing
• Experience working in Agile project environments
• Contact Center domain experience (Added Advantage)
