The Role…
At Soho House, a Head Host plays a central role in creating exceptional first impressions and ensuring a smooth, seamless experience for members and their guests.
Your main responsibility is to lead the host team in managing reservations, welcoming arrivals, and coordinating seating to maximise guest satisfaction and operational efficiency. With a warm, professional, and proactive approach, you’ll set the tone for service and support the wider Front of House team in delivering world-class hospitality.

Key duties…
- Welcome every member by name and guest with open arms and in a hospitable manner.
- Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.
- Manage the Opera/OpenTable booking system to ensure members are seated according to their correct booking.
- Lead, train, and mentor the host/hostess team to deliver consistently high service standards.
- Create and manage daily floor plans and coordinate with waitstaff and managers for seamless service.
- Support the development of junior team members with coaching and on-the-job training.
- Ensure grooming, conduct, and service standards are always upheld.
- Resolve member complaints, handling all member interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism.
- Uphold discretion and professionalism, especially when serving VIPs and PWKs.
- Contribute to team success, attending briefings, tastings, and assisting colleagues where needed.
What we are looking for...
- 2 - 3 years’ previous experience as a Senior Host/Head Host in a luxury hospitality, fine dining, or private members’ club environment.
- Proven leadership and team development skills.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and multitasking abilities.
- Strong knowledge of reservations and booking systems.
- Natural warmth, professionalism, and an eye for detail.
- Must be able to demonstrate competency as outlined in the training schedule and Club School
- Must be able to work flexible shifts and schedules, including weekends and holidays as needed
- Ability to take direction, work in a team environment and autonomously
