Overview

If you're interested in a front-row seat to influence the fiscal year revenue planning process for the Microsoft Commercial business, which is responsible for the majority of Microsoft's global revenue, then look no further.

The Microsoft Customer and Partner Solutions (MCAPS) Finance Team is hiring a Group Finance Manager to join the Central FP&A (Financial Planning & Analysis) team with a focus on revenue planning. As Group Finance Manager , you will shape the course of annual revenue planning, partnering with business and finance stakeholders both within and outside of MCAPS. Additionally, you will serve as a lead on the team providing guidance and oversight into some of the core critical processes managed by other individual contributors on the team.

Responsibilities

  • Gain an end-to-end understanding of the Microsoft Commercial Revenue planning process

  • Shape the priorities and process to help ensure a high-quality and transparent planning cycle

  • Lead engagement with CFT (Central Finance Team) and EG (Engineering Group) finance who also play critical roles in the Revenue target setting and budgeting process

  • Partner with the Field Insights team to define how we engage and work with field finance and their leadership teams to ensure an efficient and transparent target setting process

  • Provide guidance and feedback to other members of the team who manage various components of the target setting process

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 4+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 6+ years experience in financial analysis, accounting, controllership or finance, or related field OR equivalent experience.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 8+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience OR Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance, Economics, Data Science or related field AND 12+ years of post-graduate financial analysis, accounting, controllership, or finance work experience OR equivalent experience.

  • 3+ years experience in multinationals with multi-product/multi-segment finance roles.

  • 3+ years work experience in matrix-based organization.

  • 3+ years work experience in the technology or software industry.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft systems such as MS Sales, FinHub, other data cubes etc.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft’s financial planning, forecasting, reporting processes both in corporate functions and in the Field.

  • Ability to influence individual contributors and executives alike with positive energy, rational thinking and influential communications.

  • Confidence to lean in and drive strategy and make decisions in an environment with multiple stakeholders and competing viewpoints.

  • Provide guidance, coaching and oversight to other members of the team to ensure all are moving in the same direction and with the same vision.

  • Proven track record of managing multiple projects/workstreams in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.

#Finance

Financial Analysis IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $116,900 - $203,600 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $148,400 - $222,600 per year.
