Reporting into the Senior Operations Manager, you’ll lead a group of Team Leaders (including the Print Room Team Leader), balancing day-to-day operational delivery with people leadership and continuous improvement. If you enjoy being visible on the floor, solving problems in real time, and helping others grow, this role offers real impact and responsibility.

  • Ensure production plans are delivered on time, within budget, and to agreed quality standards

  • Identify and resolve production issues and bottlenecks quickly to minimise disruption
  • Manage inbound and outbound BAU operations, ensuring accuracy and smooth workflow
  • Oversee inventory management, including cycle counts and resolving stock accuracy issues
  • Coordinate and schedule print jobs to meet deadlines and customer requirements
  • Oversee printing processes to ensure accuracy, consistency, and high-quality output
  • Manage printing supplies such as paper, ink, and toner, ensuring timely restocking
  • Create and maintain a safe, clean working environment through safety briefings, training, and compliance
  • Investigate, report, and escalate safety incidents in line with procedures
  • Handle people matters fairly and confidently, including performance management, absence, disciplinaries, and grievances
  • Prepare shift schedules and approve timesheets using UKG
  • Act as a key link between Operations, Print, IT, Design, and other internal teams
  • Lead and support continuous improvement activity and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Organise and facilitate meetings across Printing and Operations
  • Provide regular updates on shift performance and operational priorities to the Senior Operations Manager
  • About You

  • You have at least 2 years’ experience in a supervisory or management role within a production or manufacturing environment
  • You’re confident leading people, giving clear direction, and supporting teams to perform at their best
  • You have a solid understanding of production processes and quality control
  • You’re comfortable managing performance and employee relations matters
  • You communicate clearly, stay calm under pressure, and make sound decisions
  • You’re organised, detail-focused, and proactive in solving problems
  • You’re committed to health, safety, and compliance, and lead by example
