Description
Veterans Engineering is seeking compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Technicians/Health Aides to support our mental health programs. In this vital role, you will assist with the care and treatment of individuals with mental health disorders, contributing to their overall well-being and recovery. You will work closely with mental health professionals, providing essential support in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct therapeutic and supportive care to residents in a residential rehabilitation setting
- Assist clinical staff with patient care and treatment activities
- Support behavioral health interventions and maintain a safe, structured environment
- Observe, document, and report patient behaviors and concerns to appropriate staff
- Follow VA policies, procedures, and Medical Staff By-Laws
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED Required
- 1+ years of direct patient care required
- Ability to provide therapeutic and supportive patient care in a residential or inpatient setting
- Proficient in assisting with daily living activities, behavioral support, and basic clinical tasks under supervision
- Demonstrated competency in de-escalation techniques and safe behavioral interventions
- Ability to observe, document, and report clinical and behavioral changes accurately
Travel Requirement
Travel to client locations is required for this position and may vary based on project needs.
