The Opportunity

We are looking for an enthusiastic software engineer to join our experienced software engineering team. Your primary focus will be to learn the codebase, respond to requests from senior engineers and grow into being able to design, develop, and deploy the company’s data, equipment control and automation strategy.

Job Description

●      Assist with all aspects of software design and coding for electromechanical systems

●      Assist with developing a complete database, data collection and data analytics solution for a cluster of equipment

●      Work on B2B applications, develop APIs

●      Work on supporting Eyelit MES

●      Implement deployment pipelines CICD, K8s

●      Write device drivers for robotics, motion control, lasers and data acquisition

●      Create graphical user interfaces

●      Attend and contribute to company development meetings

●      Learn the codebase and improve coding skills

●      Write and maintain code

●      Work on bug fixes

●      Monitor the performance of internal systems

●      Respond to requests from the development team

●      Write reports

●      Conduct unit tests

●      Work closely with mechanical, electrical, system, and new product integration engineers

Requirements

Basic Qualifications

●      Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or a related technical field

●      2+ years of software engineering experience

●      Programming experience with coding languages including C#, C++, C, Python, SQL

●      Experience with source control (preferably Git)

Preferred Qualifications

●      Knowledge of databases and operating systems

●      Outstanding detail-oriented analytical, creative, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically to diagnose issues and optimize complex processes

●      Proficiency to work self-sufficiently with minimal oversight

●      Excellent communication skills and the proficiency to lead and work effectively within an interdisciplinary team
