Your role and responsibilities

IBM Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) OpenPages development team is searching for a skilled Software Development Mnager, who is ready to take their career to the next level. Would you like to get in on the ground floor of the exciting and fast-growing field of Governance Risk and Compliance (GRC)? Do you like to work with the latest and greatest SaaS cloud, AI technologies?

You will work as part of the OpenPages Development team with a focus on the following key responsibilities:

• Lead a team of engineers to meet release dates along with committed deliverables on-time and with quality,

• Plan and manage component design, coding and functional testing to drive quality of deliverables

• Balance priorities and work assignments across team members following agile processes to meet delivery schedules

• Interface with product management and offering managers to understand customer requirements and business prioritization, work with architects and technical leaders to build development plans

• Drive development activities, monitor progress, collaborate to align dependencies, remove blockers for team members and manage risks

• People management of technical talents executing HR programs for employee acquisition, development, performance management and optimization, retention, and separation

Required technical and professional expertise

12+ years of professional/industrial experience in software development.

• Experience in coaching, mentoring, training staff, setting expectations and balancing priorities to achieve desired deliverables

• Analytical skills required to quickly understand complex domains and be able to break down and plan feature work

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to lead and drive collaboration within teams and across IBM to achieve desired outcomes

• Experience leading Agile scrum, working with GitHub and other tracking tools.

• Experience in working on a SaaS application with SOC2 certification

• Providing vigilance and compliance to various software engineering, support and release processes e.g security, stack upgrades that are free of vulnerabilities etc.

• Leading organizational transformation, both technically and organizationally Experience with Cloud, AI, Java, REST and Go.

• Participated in the design and implementation of sophisticated software systems using Agile software development practices

• Extensively work with the Product Architects, Product Managers to understand various priorities and work towards the execution.

Preferred technical and professional experience

• Strong individual contributor to software design and implementation

• Hands on experience in handling and debugging customer issues, work with L2 support team.

• Experience directly working on Jenkins, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, DevOps
