We're looking for a Remote Federal Recruiter to source, screen, and place candidates on federal government contracts. This role focuses on healthcare staffing (nurses, medical technicians, clinical staff) and general administrative/professional positions supporting federal agencies.
You'll work directly with our contracts team to fill positions on active task orders, build talent pipelines for upcoming opportunities, and manage candidates through the federal onboarding process including security clearance coordination.
Sourcing & Recruiting (70%)
- Source candidates for federal healthcare and professional services contracts
- Recruit for positions including: RNs, LPNs, Medical Technicians, Healthcare Administrators, Program Analysts, Administrative Specialists, and IT Support
- Build and maintain talent pipelines for VA, DoD Medical, HHS, and IHS contracts
- Screen candidates for federal requirements (citizenship, clearance eligibility, credentials)
- Conduct phone screens and coordinate interviews with hiring managers
Federal Process Management (20%)
- Guide candidates through federal onboarding and clearance processes
- Coordinate with Security Officers on clearance submissions
- Track candidate status through the 60-180 day federal hiring cycle
- Ensure compliance with FAR, SCA wage determinations, and agency-specific requirements
Pipeline & Reporting (10%)
- Maintain accurate records in ATS (applicant tracking system)
- Provide weekly pipeline reports to leadership
- Track placement metrics and time-to-fill data
Required:
- 2+ years recruiting experience (staffing agency or corporate)
- Experience with healthcare recruiting OR federal government recruiting
- Familiarity with USAJOBS, federal hiring processes, or cleared recruiting
- Proficiency with ATS systems and LinkedIn Recruiter
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Self-motivated, able to work independently in remote environment
- US Citizen (required for federal contract work)
Preferred:
- Direct experience placing candidates on VA, DoD, or HHS contracts
- Understanding of federal clearance levels and processes
- Healthcare credentials knowledge (RN licensure, medical certifications)
- CHCR (Certified Health Care Recruiter) or AIRS certification
- Experience with SCA wage determinations and federal compliance
