Description
ESI was founded as a technical coffee service company in 1989; setting the standard for service quality and customer support in the specialty coffee industry. Intermix Beverage, our product division, was created to offer a full circle consumer experience. The goal is to help customers serve a high-quality and consistently prepared coffee beverage.
This position is responsible for managing the overall operations of the warehouse including accurately picking and shipping product and equipment orders, ensuring high levels of customer service while providing an organized and efficient warehouse, and transferring items between both our Minneapolis warehouses.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Warehouse:
- Physical handling of all inventory at the auxiliary warehouse, including receiving items, accurately picking, fulfilling, and shipping items to customers, restocking the central warehouse, and performing inventory counts in accordance with company policy.
- Ensures high daily productivity and accuracy by following all written company procedures.
- Uses and has knowledge of all equipment used in the warehouse and ensures a culture of safety in the workplace.
- Transfers items between warehouses using the Company’s dock truck.
- Maintains the appearance and cleanliness of the warehouse as well as the area in front of the building.
- Schedules all outbound LTLs from auxiliary warehouse.
- Removes snow from the dock area and front entrance of the building.
- Able to be flexible in working at multiple sites, including unloading and loading of freight.
- Coordinates with warehouse leadership team to ensure all orders are processed in accordance with company standards.
- Maintain company vehicle by ensuring oil changes and regular maintenance are performed as needed and the vehicle is washed routinely.
- Assists other departments as needed.
Requirements
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and four to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid driver's license with the ability to be insured
- Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and co-workers
- Demonstrated time management and organizational administrative skills required
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work and interact well with all levels of the organization
- Strong computer aptitude, including knowledge of Google Suite (Gmail, Docs, Sheets, Drive)
- Ability to work independently while managing multiple projects and deadlines
- Knowledge of inventory and shipping software
- Forklift certified
