We’re looking for two Sourcing Managers to join our team in Munich, Germany on an interim period of 6 months to support the Sourcing team transition to a new ERP platform.
You will be working closely with the existing permanent sourcing managers in exotic fruit to assist with the day-to-day operations of Germany's sourcing strategy.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing plans for fruit categories.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships across our global supply base.
- Manage all supplier communication, including claims, order fulfillment, and performance.
- Conduct tactical sourcing, ensuring accurate ordering through stock evaluation.
- Negotiate and monitor prices and contracts to deliver value.
- Drive supplier development initiatives and continuous improvement.
- Analyze market trends, forecast changes, and provide insights to guide decisions.
- Work closely with the European Procurement team and cross-functional stakeholders.
Requirements
Essential
- Solid experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, ideally in food, agriculture, or FMCG.
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
- C1 fluency in English is essential.
- Ability to work in the Munich office 3 days per week at a minimum.
- Hands-on experience in tactical procurement (ordering, claims, stock management).
- Analytical skills with the ability to anticipate market shifts.
Desirable
- Previous experience working with Avocados would be great
- Fluency in other languages (German, Portuguese or Spanish is highly beneficial
