Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to
- Responsible for shipping and receiving, material handling and movement, storage, and tracking of raw and finished products and other components into and through the warehouse and freezer
- Verifies incoming and outgoing quantities and description of materials
- Receive trucks, load and unload material within warehouse and freezer
- Scan product in and out to proper location
- Report any defects, damage, or discrepancies. Identify damaged, lost, or missing materials and notify Lead/Supervisor immediately
- Ensure First In/First Out practices maintained
- Operate forklift, scanners, pallet jack, ladders, scissor lift, and other warehouse equipment
- Check product in from suppliers and cold storage and input into AX inventory system appropriately
- Accurately load trucks with outbound products while correctly completing Bill of Lading
- Pull and slack frozen product to be used on packaging line
- Pick and deliver packaging items to production areas as needed
- Monitor truck temps per our SOPs
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work area
- Help maintain proper warehouse security
- Provide direction, leadership, and training for other warehouse associates, as well as runners and other ERP system users
- Assist in cycle counting when necessary
- Be willing to learn other duties involving the ERP system as well as work cross-functionally to support other departments.
Required Skills and Experience
- Previous forklift and scanning experience
- Candidate will obtain Mom's Meals forklift certification upon hire
- Ability to work quickly and safely
- Initiative and ability to work with little supervision
- General understanding of inventory management
- Good reading comprehension, basic math & reasoning skills, and basic data entry ability
- Good time management and prioritization skills
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Comprehensive understanding of computer inventory system, scanners, and inventory systems.
- Ability to direct, lead, and train teammates
- Must be able to stay until end of shift
- Ability to facilitate processes and projects as needed
- Be the point person for the shift for warehouse and inventory inquiries
Preferred Skills and Experience
- 2 years of warehouse, shipping/receiving, or material handling experience
- Previous experience working in a manufacturing and/or food distribution industry
Physical Requirements
- Regularly required to use hands to feel, grab, or operate objects, tools, and controls while reaching with hands and arms
- Frequently required to stand, communicate, and listen.
- Occasionally required to walk, stoop, kneel or crouch.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Visual perception to perform job including peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
- Able to perform repetitive movements
- Able to work in variable temperatures (cold/hot)
