We have a new opportunity for a specialist D365 Consultant to work specifically within our German Sourcing team to transition us into a new ERP system with go live date set in April 26.
This is a hands-on, business-embedded role, working directly with sourcing team to ensure D365 is configured, adopted and optimised to support international procurement, supplier management, and commodity buying.
The role will play a critical part in the global D365 rollout, ensuring sourcing processes, data and workflows are correctly embedded into the new ERP environment. This is a 6-month fixed term contract, requiring a hybrid working pattern (3 days per week in Munich office).
The role holder will act as the subject matter expert for Microsoft Dynamics 365 within the Sourcing function, ensuring the successful transition from legacy systems to D365 across international buying, supplier and commodity workflows.
They will bridge the gap between sourcing users and the global D365 programme team, ensuring system design, testing and training reflect real-world commercial and operational needs.
Responsibilities
- Act as the Sourcing lead for the D365 ERP implementation, ensuring system functionality supports international procurement, buying and supplier management processes
- Work closely with Sourcing Managers, Buyers and Global Sourcing Leadership to map current processes into D365 workflows
- Support configuration, data migration, and testing of sourcing-related modules within Microsoft Dynamics 365
- Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for sourcing teams and coordinate issue resolution with the D365 project team
- Provide hands-on support during go-live and hypercare, ensuring minimal disruption to sourcing and buying activities
- Support supplier master data, item data and contract data accuracy within the new system
- Translate commercial and buying requirements into system logic, ensuring D365 supports commodity purchasing, pricing and supplier performance tracking
- Develop and deliver training and guidance to sourcing users on how to operate effectively in D365
- Identify process improvements and standardisation opportunities enabled by D365
- Act as a trusted advisor to the Head of Sourcing Germany and Global Sourcing Director throughout the rollout
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Microsoft Dynamics 365 functional specialist, ideally within procurement, sourcing, or supply chain modules
- Strong understanding of international buying, commodities procurement, or supplier management
- Experience supporting ERP implementations, system migrations, UAT and go-live support
- Ability to work directly with business users to translate operational needs into system requirements
- High attention to detail, particularly around data, contracts, suppliers and pricing
- Comfortable working in fast-moving, change-driven environments
- Excellent communication skills, able to engage sourcing teams, IT, and senior stakeholders
- Strong organisational and problem-solving capability
- Experience in fresh produce, FMCG, food or agricultural supply chains
- Exposure to international sourcing and multi-currency procurement
- Prior experience working in a global ERP rollout environment
