You Are:

As the Strategic Growth & Business Development Lead, you will architect and execute a comprehensive growth strategy for Defense & Intelligence clients/agencies. You will drive the entire business development lifecycle, from opportunity identification to proposal submission and contract negotiation, while building and nurturing strategic, long-term relationships with our clients. This role demands a client-obsessed approach, deep market expertise, and the ability to lead and scale a high-performing sales and growth team. Your focus will be on driving IT modernization and digital transformation initiatives, ensuring alignment with client missions and needs.

The Work:

  • Strategic Growth & Relationship Building:

    • Develop and maintain a healthy pipeline of opportunities by engaging with account sales leads, Business Development Directors (BDDs), and Client Account Leads.
    • Establish trusted advisor relationships with clients by addressing their critical IT modernization and digital transformation challenges.
    • Increase the probability of win (PWin) through strategic capture planning and proposal execution.
  • Client Obsession & Market Expertise:

    • Deeply understand the unique missions, funding cycles, and technology needs of the client
    • Collaborate internally with solution architects and delivery teams to create innovative, relevant, and client-focused IT service offerings.
    • Stay updated on federal acquisition regulations, emerging IT trends such as Cloud, AI/ML, and Cybersecurity, and competitor activities.
  • Team Leadership & Development:

    • Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing team while setting clear performance metrics aligned with company revenue and profitability goals.
    • Actively participate in critical client meetings and support major capture efforts as a player-coach.
    • Foster a collaborative and performance-driven culture within the growth team.

Here's What You Need:

  • Proven track record of winning multi-million-dollar contracts with federal civilian or defense agencies, including full and open and set-aside opportunities.
  • Demonstrated success in building, scaling, and leading high-performing sales and growth teams.
  • In-depth knowledge of the Federal acquisition process, including FAR, task orders, and contract vehicles like GSA and IDIQs.
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
  • Bachelors Degree or 10+ years of industry experience

Bonus Points If:

  • Established network of senior-level relationships within Defense & Intelligence agencies or similar federal agency client spaces.
  • Experience leading growth efforts in organizations undergoing rapid expansion.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business, Technology, or a related field.

 

As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Vermont, the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. The pay range for the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Vermont, the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland is:
$146,100$360,800 USD
