About Us

Westside Build is a team driven by innovation and efficiency, redefining how homes are designed and constructed on LA’s westside. In collaboration with Westside Design, our team brings together decades of high-end single-family residential experience, spec building expertise, and cutting-edge fabrication technologies to deliver exceptional homes at an approachable price point. The recent wildfires have left communities in urgent need, and we’re committed to getting people back home – faster, smarter and better.  By integrating advanced technology, digitized fabrication and offsite construction, we cut through inefficiencies, reduce costs and accelerate timelines in partnership with our Design team.  A modern approach to architectural design and construction, built for today’s world.

About You

You’re a hands-on technological tool guru who loves the jobsite. You thrive on being abreast of the latest gadgets and how they work.  You keep field data clean, current, and tied to documentation – ensuring schedule, cost, and quality remain on track.

About the Role

The Site Digital Coordinator supports construction by operating and administering state of the art site-based digital tools and workflows. You’ll capture field conditions, verify layout and installation, and push data back to the office for analysis. Your work helps maximize efficiency, serving as a critical link between computer models, CM systems and trades in the field. You’ll engage daily with our Project Coordinators and Quality Manager, orchestrating use of technology between projects to get the information we need, when we need it.

Key Responsibilities

Equipment Management

  • Set up, configure and operate jobsite digital tools for layout, verification, and reality capture; post accurate field data following standardized conventions for data sets
  • Coordinate equipment usage with project schedules / milestones, site supervisors and Project managers.
  • Always ensure data sets captured meet the needs of the project and requests of the team

Accuracy & Consistency

  • Perform first-pass QC on field data (measurements, captures, markups, alignments) for completeness and labeling; correct or recapture as needed.
  • Support enforcement of documentation best practices and clean handoffs between the field and office

What You Need:

  • 3+ years as a VDC or related type of role in construction field technology, project coordination, architecture, or surveying/layout support (residential or light commercial highly preferred)
  • Proficiency with Procore; proven experience in digital model and coordinate translation techniques. Familiarity with MS Project or other scheduling tools is a plus.
  • Proficiency with surveying tools, Total Station, GNSS, GIS, laser scanning, BIM Modeling, Clash Detection, Revit, etc.
  • Familiarity with construction drawings/models and site-based digital tools for layout/verification and reality capture; comfort collaborating with BIM stakeholders
  • Strong documentation discipline (naming/version control, photo and file hygiene)
  • Clear communicator with focus on execution and delivery without compromise
