Why we're hiring:
To facilitate the statutory audit process by providing necessary financial data, documentation, and support to the appointed external auditors, ensuring a smooth, efficient, and timely audit for compliance with legal requirements.
What you'll be doing:
Data & Documentation Support:
- Prepare and provide timely access to financial statements (Balance Sheet, P&L, Cash Flow), ledgers, bank statements, vendor/customer records, and supporting vouchers.
- Generate specific schedules (e.g., fixed assets, debtors, creditors, provisions, expenses etc.) as requested by auditors.
Audit Process Facilitation:
- Act as the primary point of contact for the external audit team.
- Address audit queries promptly and accurately, providing explanations and evidence.
Compliance & Verification:
- Assist in verifying compliance with applicable accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS) and legal regulations (e.g., Companies Act).
- Support assessment of internal controls and risk areas identified by auditors.
Reporting & Finalization:
- Help in preparing management representation letters and other required attestations.
- Review draft audit reports, management letters, and financial statements for accuracy before finalization.
Coordination:
- Liaise with other internal departments (e.g., R2R, Billing, Collection, Accounts payable, Payments, HR, Payroll etc.) to gather necessary information for the audit.
What you'll need:
- Chartered Accountant with 3+ years post qualification experience.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles (GAAP/Ind AS).
- Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
- High attention to detail and ability to work under pressure during audit periods.
