Description

We are seeking a creative, energetic, and organized Marketing & Outreach Intern to execute local marketing, brand awareness, and social media strategies for our apartment community in Allen, TX. This role focuses on grassroots marketing, digital content creation, social media engagement, community partnerships, event support, and resident engagement. You will help drive leads, tours, and leases through innovative, hyper-local strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Digital and Social Media Marketing

  • Create engaging short-form content (TikTok, Reels, Stories) showcasing unit tours, amenities, lifestyle highlights, Best of Allen features, and local business spotlights
  • Maintain a consistent posting schedule across all social media platforms
  • Respond to comments and engage with community hashtags to build online presence
  • Boost posts within a defined budget to reach renters within a 10-mile radius
  • Track performance metrics and engagement rates

Local Business Outreach and Hyperlocal Marketing

  • Visit local businesses throughout Allen to build strategic partnerships and alliances
  • Distribute marketing materials including flyers, brochures, and referral cards
  • Set up and maintain QR code stands at partner locations
  • Cultivate ongoing relationships with local business owners and managers
  • Track which partners generate traffic and leads to measure ROI

Employer Outreach

  • Deliver and maintain "Employer Housing Kits" to major employers in the area
  • Include flyers, special employer codes, and current availability sheets
  • Build and nurture relationships with HR departments
  • Follow up regularly to maintain partnerships and gather feedback

Event Coordination

  • Assist in planning and executing resident events and community activities
  • Support open houses and tour events
  • Help create memorable experiences that drive leasing activity

Requirements

Required:

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Outgoing personality and comfortable approaching businesses and prospective residents
  • Working knowledge of social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, Canva)
  • Ability to film and edit short-form videos on mobile devices
  • Reliable transportation and valid driver's license for local outreach
  • Organized with the ability to follow a structured weekly plan
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as collaboratively with a team

Preferred:

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field
  • Previous experience or interest in real estate or property management
  • Basic graphic design skills
  • Familiarity with social media analytics and advertising
