Director, Client Operations - Bayer
About the Role
This role helps ensure that operational standards, ways of working and integrated delivery models are effectively implemented across Bayer Global and EMEA.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with regional and global stakeholders to support the adoption of operational best practices, contribute to the design and refinement of the client operating models in each market, and create governance best practice. You will act as a trusted operational partner to account leadership teams, ensuring that client needs are translated into clear processes and effective execution.
This position requires strong operational acumen, project management expertise, excellent stakeholder management, and the ability to bring structure and consistency to complex, multi-market client engagements. Experience working in an operational role on complex and large-scale multi-market clients is essential.
Key Responsibilities
Client Operations Support Across Global and EMEA
- Support the coordination and implementation of operational practices across regional and global client efforts.
- Contribute to a final operational process rollout for Bayer, including the refresh and roll out of documented process globally.
- Track and support the delivery of operational projects and process improvements.
- Track progress against key transition milestones and flag risks or dependencies.
Operational Best Practice Implementation
- Partner with client leaders, functional departments and other senior agency stakeholders to identify operational requirements based on the client operating model.
- Own the brief, requirements and delivery roadmap of the global project management office (PMO) setup and system (Adobe Workfont).
- Collaborate with client and agency stakeholders on defining, documenting and implementing a best-in-class integrated process.
- Support regional and global operations by gathering regional requirements and feedback.
- Assist in rolling out operational tools and standards (e.g. briefing process, resource management).
- Create and maintain process documentation to ensure cohesive delivery of agency services globally.
Own Operational Governance
- Oversee the global and regional PMO system and track compliance to agreed process and briefing standards.
- Assist in maintaining project status reports and other project documentation as needed.
- Facilitate effective communication between teams.
- Run reoccurring project statuses for internal teams.
- Function as a key part of any project team, ensuring all team members have the information necessary to develop great work.
- Provides escalation of challenges to ensure adherence to project timelines.
Team Alignment to Operational Workflows
- Support the development of process plans for Bayer.
- Coordinate and run cross-functional team training to onboarding to operational processes.
- Serve as the main point of contact to triage and respond to operational troubleshooting for rollout of process, governance and workflow tools.
Key Success Metrics
- Adoption and utilisation of operational tools and best practices across Bayer.
- Smooth execution of new business transition.
- Positive client feedback on operational clarity and delivery.
- Effective collaboration across markets and functions.
- Consistent, high-quality operational documentation and processes.
About You
You are an experienced operational practitioner with a strong understanding of media, marketing or professional services environments. You excel at translating client and business needs into clear operational approaches, and you are comfortable working in matrixed, fast-paced settings.
You bring strong organisational skills, an eye for process improvement and the confidence to engage with senior stakeholders. You thrive on collaboration, bring structure to complex challenges, and enjoy being a trusted partner to account teams and clients alike.
Key Skills and Experience
- Experience in client operations, business operations or project management within media, marketing or a related professional services environment.
- Ability to influence and collaborate across markets and disciplines.
- Experience contributing to workflow design, operational model roll-outs, or process implementations.
- Strong presentation and communication skills, with comfort participating in senior-level discussions and pitches.
- Hands-on experience with workflow or project management systems (e.g., Workfront, Asana).
- Familiarity with additional operational tools such as PowerAutomate, Salesforce or PowerBI is beneficial.
- Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
- Highly organised, proactive and comfortable managing multiple workstreams simultaneously.
