RESPONSIBILITIES
- The Host Team will greet guests in an upbeat, welcoming manner. This person will use a genuine greeting and make our guests feel welcome through our actions.
- Review daily tasks checklist to have the host stand and surrounding area clean and ready for service.
- Point person is the overall pace-setter. The Point will direct the Seater where to seat the party and communicate any wait times and table status with guests.
- The Seater will be prepared with menus for all people in the party. Seater will walk at the guest’s pace while conversing in a natural, genuine conversation.
- Our guests are the focus of why we are here. That is why we follow the etiquette of Guest Right of Way (G.R.O.W.). In addition, we follow the 10/6 Rules. When you are 10 feet away from the guest, make eye contact and smile to acknowledge the guest. 6 feet away from guests, make eye contact, smile, say hello and allow G.R.O.W.
- The Host Team monitors the reservations list and plans accordingly. Large parties, typically 8 or more, will need to be communicated with the Coordinator/MOD.
- As a member of the HostTeam you’ll strive to answer phone calls within two rings.
- Assist with monitoring the takeout orders, gift cards or other functions of the host stand.
- Help guests with any retail and merchandise needs they may have.
- The Host Team should express gratitude when guests are departing.
- Constantly making rounds throughout the restaurant to retrieve menus from side stations.
- Embracing change and desire to grow with Night Shift Brewing at Level99.
- Contribute to transparency between team members and management
- Comply with all health, safety and hygiene standards and policies.
- When time allows assist with service in the restaurant, like bussing and running of food.
- Perform all other duties needed and requested
MUST-HAVE SKILLS
- Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs which will include days, nights, weekends and holidays as well as emergency responsiveness as required. Friday and weekend availability is a MUST.
- Able to work ten hour-plus shifts, plus ability to stand, sit, squat or walk for extended periods of time, walk up and down stairs
- Able to grasp, reach overhead, push, lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced, ever changing work environment
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledge of health and sanitation code and policies
