About the role
1.-About The Role
Imagine stepping into a hands-on role where every bolt you tighten and every tolerance you verify directly influences the future of aerospace. This is not benchwork as usual. It is precision assembly for high performance propulsion systems where your craftsmanship becomes part of flight grade hardware. You will work side by side with engineers and fellow technicians, bringing advanced engines to life through skill, consistency, and mechanical intuition.
At Destinus, we are revolutionizing the defense industry with cutting edge Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs). Our innovative technologies are designed to meet the unique demands of modern defense operations, delivering unparalleled speed, precision, and cost effectiveness. Destinus partners with government agencies and defense organizations worldwide to provide advanced solutions for mission critical operations, enabling a new era of efficiency and technological superiority. Join us in shaping the future of defense with groundbreaking aerospace innovations.
2.-What You’ll Do
· Assembling propulsion components with extreme precision, validating tolerances, and ensuring all parts meet strict engineering requirements
· Applying correct torque values, following assembly instructions, and maintaining a clean, safe, and traceable process
· Supporting engine preparation activities by installing components, fittings, sensors, and mechanical interfaces
· Proactively identifying issues, misalignments, or deviations and collaborating with engineers to resolve them quickly
· Contributing to continuous improvement by sharing insights and refining build processes
· Keeping documentation accurate and up to date to ensure each engine has a complete and traceable history
Requirements
What You’ll Need
· Mechanical education or equivalent hands-on background that proves you know your way around tools, tolerances, and precision work.
· Experience assembling mechanical or propulsion hardware in aerospace, automotive, motor sports, robotics, or similar high precision environments.
· Ability to read engineering drawings, torque charts, tolerances, and assembly documentation
· Confidence using measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and torque equipment.
· Hands-on problem-solving mindset with strong attention to detail
· If your experience is extremely relevant, 2 years can be enough. If not, more experience is required to thrive in this role.
· Nice to have experience with propulsion systems, engines, or rotating machinery.
Who You Are
You thrive when building things with your hands and seeing tangible results from your work. You take pride in precision and can spot a misalignment instantly. You love fast paced environments where no two engines feel the same and where your craftsmanship truly matters. You are collaborative, curious, and unafraid to ask questions or challenge assumptions. You show up with integrity, ownership, and a drive to make every assembly better than the last.
