We are looking for a Maintenance Supervisor like you to play a crucial role in overseeing the maintenance and reliability of the Windsor site. You will be responsible for the safe and cost effective execution of quality maintenance work to ensure reliable functioning of equipment, utilities and infrastructure.

- Supervising and leading a team of mechanical and instrument/electrical technicians.
- Conducting regular walkthroughs to ensure work execution and providing guidance to trades and team members.
- Using SAP to understand work orders and purchase requisitions and be able to plan work accordingly.
- Coordinating and prioritizing maintenance requests, ensuring timely completion of work orders while minimizing disruption to operations.
- Collaborating with other departments, such as Operations, Engineering, Warehouse and Procurement, to coordinate maintenance activities and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Working with Tech Buyer / Stores Coordinator to maintain inventory of spare parts, tools, and equipment, ensuring availability for maintenance and repair activities.
- Ensuring compliance with safety regulations and promote a culture of safe work practices and behaviors among maintenance staff.
- Issuing and auditing safe work permits.
- Evaluating and selecting external contractors, overseeing their work quality and adherence to contractual agreements.
- Keeping accurate records of maintenance activities, including work performed, equipment history, and maintenance logs.
- Planning and overseeing site shutdowns including weekends and holidays as scheduled.
- Maintaining department Key Performance Indicators and striving for continuous improvement.
- Providing after hours site support.
If you have...
- Proven experience as a maintenance supervisor or similar role in a unionized workforce.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong knowledge of maintenance best practices, procedures, and lean techniques.
- Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Proficiency in computer use (SAP, One Note, Excel, Word).
- Strong problem-solving using tools such as 8D, 5Why, and Root Cause Analysis.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to adapt to changing priorities, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Knowledge of applicable safety regulations and practices.
- Relevant technical certifications or degrees/diplomas in engineering, maintenance management, or a related field (desirable).
