FLOATING INFANT TODDLER LEAD TEACHER
Job Summary:
This is a program position that supports teachers out on leave at Various CPI locations throughout North County. Lead the educational care and development of a specific classroom by implementing all components of the Quality Preschool Initiative as defined in the Program requirements. Supervise all Instructional Assistants (IA’s) and perform tasks required to support High Quality learning for all students, parents & extended families. Collaborate with children, staff & families to assure High Quality early childhood education - Maintaining a ITERS score of 6 or higher and a CLASS score of Emotional Support – 5.5, Instructional Support – 3.5 & Classroom organization.
Summary of essential job functions
- Responsible for planning & implementing a rich curriculum which incorporates The Infant/Toddler Creative Curriculum, and PITC Curriculum.
- Responsible for using the CLASS tool to guide intentional teaching and meaningful engagement.
- The teacher will be responsible for creating and maintaining the specific interest centers including Science, Math, Literacy & Language, Dramatic Play, Block Play, Sensory Play, Mindful Me & Soft Places for relaxing using ITERS guidelines.
- Responsible for ensuring daily classroom cleanliness that meets with all Health & Safety Guidelines as defined withing ITERS & the External Health & Safety review. Responsible for delegating cleaning routines to IA support staff.
- Responsible for supporting the Site Director to ensure compliance with all Licensing regulations, agency policies and procedures and the Education Code as applicable. Reference CA Code of regulations, Title 22 sections 101215 and 101215.1, and Title 5.
Requirements
Minimum requirements
Bachelor's Degree in ECE/ Child Development +24 ECE credits, including Infant Toddler units, AND Child development Teacher Permit. OR
Physical Requirements
Ability to work at various locations, as needed
Ability to walk, sit, and stand for extended periods of time
Ability to lift up to 35 pounds to support children
Ability to bend and squat to interact with children
