Senior Product Manager (Tax & Compliance)

About the Role:

As a Staff Product Manager your job is to help us make equity work for our customers. Your primary focus in this new team will be on building comprehensive tax and compliance solutions that automate complex financial processes and compliance requirements across multiple jurisdictions. We aspire to have the most flexible tax calculation engine, powered by deep integrations with global tax data providers. We take the pain out of mandatory tax filings (e.g. HMRC in the UK and similar in other focus countries). And last but not least, we provide the best global mobility solution for modern businesses.

At Ledgy you will:

  • Develop a deep understanding of the equity management market as well as our customers, their pains and jobs-to-be-done. Work closely with our in house tax SMEs and over time, become a subject matter expert yourself and act as point of contact for internal and external stakeholders
  • Systematically analyze qualitative customer feedback, quantitative usage data and product gaps in collaboration with Design, Engineering and customer-facing business partners
  • Collaborate with product leadership on the vision and strategy of our tax and compliance pillar
  • Define, plan, and execute a roadmap to bring Ledgy's tax and compliance offering to the next level
  • Align your team around strategic goals, relevant KPIs, and track success metrics for measuring impact
  • Break down complex problems and write clear documentation in collaboration with Design, Engineering, financial reporting experts, and product leadership
  • Manage product delivery in an agile setting and support your team in all sprint activities
  • Drive product launches through cross-functional work with Product Marketing and other go-to-market teams
  • Support shaping the future of our product best practices to achieve the best business outcomes

In the first 30 days:

  • Be paired with an onboarding buddy who will introduce you to the world of equity management and taxes, as well as the whole Ledgy team
  • Get to know the other new members of the tax team and get involved with hiring of the remaining team
  • Understand how our existing tax and compliance features integrate with the broader Ledgy platform
  • Watch call recordings, shadow customer & prospect calls and get in front of your first real customer
  • Start contributing to roadmap discussions with guidance from team members

In the first 60 days:

  • Get to know our new tax & compliance lead who will be your main domain expert
  • Develop a deep understanding of the regulatory and business requirements our customers face
  • Fully master Ledgy's value proposition, understand our product capabilities and competitive landscape
  • Participate in strategic discussions about scaling our tax capabilities
  • Take ownership of key tax features and product initiatives
  • Lead sprint planning and collaborate on technical specifications

In the first 90 days:

  • Research Ledgy’s core markets regarding equity comp standards and complex tax requirements to identify biggest opportunities
  • Work with Product, Design and Engineering to create a vision for a comprehensive Tax and Compliance module to create a differentiated offering in this area
  • Collaborate with Product Marketing and Sales to enhance go-to-market
  • Contribute to PM best practices

The job is a great fit if you:

  • Have a minimum of 6+ years experience in Product Management, building customer-facing B2B SaaS products
  • Have relevant experience working with cross-functional teams in an agile setting applying Scrum
  • Are experienced in building and scaling tax, accounting or other regulated products with a focus on automation and user experience
  • Are used to working with SMEs and don’t shy away from detailed legal documentation and specs
  • Are a fast learner and enjoy diving into complex regulatory and financial topics
  • Have a strong sense of accountability, ownership and outstanding solution focus
  • Break down silos and work collaboratively in a result-oriented way
  • Are well versed with AI tools that increase your and the team’s efficiency, allow you to move fast and focus on what really matters
