The Role

As a Chef at NOBU or Ottoya, you’ll assist the management team with the day-to-day operations of the kitchen, ensuring every dish meets our high standards of excellence. This is a hands-on position in a fast-paced, premium dining environment where quality and teamwork are essential.

As a Chef, you’ll create joyful moments through genuine care and connection, guided by Crown’s 4Cs of Service Excellence—Be Courteous, Connect, Create, and Care—ensuring every interaction reflects our commitment to elevated hospitality.

About You

You’ll bring:

• Experience in Japanese cuisine, ideally in a premium, high-volume à la carte or buffet kitchen
• Japanese Yakitori and Hibachi-style grilling - highly desired 
• Strong leadership skills, including the ability to train and mentor a team
• Excellent organisational, time management, and delegation skills
• Business acumen to assist in monitoring food and labour costs
• A commitment to maintaining high and consistent food standards

Due to the demands of the role, including the required working hours and the continuous nature of the work, only individuals with full working rights will be considered.

To be successful, you’ll be flexible to work across a 7-day rotating roster including weekends, late nights and Public Holidays.
