General Summary:
The Rehab Technician is responsible for assisting the Rehabilitation professionals in providing treatment to patients. The Rehab Tech cleans and prepares the beds/treatment areas and provides set up as needed. Under the supervision of the OT/PT Therapist, the Rehab Tech will guide patients through treatment plans, pain management modalities, burn and wound care, aquatic therapy programs, and will complete patient scheduling. This position will reinforce patient instructions in exercise programs of passive, resistive exercises, general conditioning, breathing and back exercises.

Main Responsibilities:
• Provide assistance where needed to the OT and PT professionals in caring for patients
• Prepare/clean beds and perform treatment set-ups as instructed
• Wash and fold towels/linens
• Provide guidance to patients only under the supervision of the OT/PT Professional in treatment plans
• Work with patients performing exercise, ensuring to adhere to the treatment plan provided
• Assist with burn/wound care, pain management, and aquatic therapy
• Schedule patient appointments
• Document patient information as needed utilizing the EMR (Electronic Medical Records)
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment/and equipment
• Build quality relationships with patients, physicians/providers, and co-workers

Education/Experience/Knowledge:
• High School or GED required
• 0-2 Years experience
• Must possess excellent communication skills
• Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with others
