Assembly Team Lead
📌 About the Role
🌟 Key Responsibilities
- Assign work to team members and monitor progress to meet production goals
- Lead daily team meetings to communicate goals, instructions, and updates
- Maintain Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost (SQDC) boards to track and share KPIs
- Perform assembly work when deviations from standard processes occur
- Create and maintain Standard Work documents, SOPs, and work instructions to support team success
- Partner with Continuous Improvement to resolve work abnormalities using Lean problem‑solving methods
- Keep work areas neat and organized in compliance with 5S standards
- Record production time and quantities accurately and on schedule
- Assist in training and retraining team members to ensure skill development
- Inspect Bills of Materials and perform first‑unit quality checks
- Support the Assembly Supervisor in maintaining line flow and meeting efficiency targets
- Promote a safe, positive, and team‑oriented work environment
- Communicate important developments and potential issues to supervisors
✅ Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years of assembly experience in a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills
- Basic understanding of Lean manufacturing principles
- Strong attention to detail with ability to read and match numbers accurately
- Clear communication skills (verbal and written)
- Positive attitude with a commitment to safety and teamwork
- Ability to prioritize responsibilities and meet deadlines

💪 Physical Requirements
- Frequent bending, stooping, pushing, and pulling
- Regular standing, walking, and reaching with hands and arms
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs frequently, 50–75 lbs occasionally (with assistance)
- Good vision (depth perception and focus adjustment)
- Ability to talk and hear clearly in a production environment
