About the role

Ready to shape the future of global LNG trading? At RWEST, our Gas & LNG Supply unit sits at the centre of a fast-moving, asset-backed business that spans Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and beyond. You’ll be part of a diverse London-based LNG Trading team that takes ownership of the full trade life cycle – from deal origination to successful, safe delivery. 

This is a fixed term, maternity cover and as our LNG Commercial Operator, you’ll be at the heart of executing and optimising our LNG cargoes and vessel activities from day one. This is your opportunity to collaborate with outstanding professionals, build influential relationships right across the industry, and make a tangible impact on our trading performance.

• Oversee the smooth, safe, and efficient end-to-end delivery of LNG cargoes, driving visible value in every operation
• Champion contractual compliance, ensuring our activities meet and exceed all obligations under cargo and charterparty agreements 
• Work side-by-side with traders to review deal proposals and spot commercial optimisation opportunities
• Build strong, trusted partnerships with suppliers, customers, ship owners, agents, inspectors, and surveyors
• Lead negotiations in annual delivery programmes and provide input into strategic operational planning
• Actively contribute your voice and ideas to continuous improvement as we grow RWEST’s LNG business

Job requirements and experience

• Previous experience working in LNG/Commodity trading environment or Operations
• Strong problem-solving skills, with excellent attention to detail and a commitment to excellence
• Commercial mindset, always looking for opportunities to optimise value and drive results
• Natural collaborator who communicates clearly and forges effective working relationships
• Highly motivated, organised, and able to thrive under pressure
• Degree in shipping, trading or similar discipline
• Fluent in written and spoken English

Advantageous, but not essential

• Hands on experience within LNG shipping or freight trading
• Experience working on the Spanish market
• Knowledge of Endur or similar trading systems
• Fluency in other languages—Spanish is especially welcome
