What your experience will be

As a Network Strategy Associate, you will play a critical role in enhancing internal operations and creating new processes as we deepen and grow new customer relationships. You will join a fast-paced, nimble team of operators who are focused on improving the lives of seniors with serious illness.  You like to get stuff done! You will be responsible for credentialing our fast-growing provider network, and collaborate cross-functionally with colleagues on processes and policies to optimize workflows. You will also work closely with Empassion customers to drive partnership success and patient impact. You will proactively identify opportunities for operational improvement. The Network Strategy associate will report directly to the VP, Network Operations. We are a hybrid remote company/in-person company, with headquarters in NYC but fully distributed across the United States. We prioritize asynchronous work and communication but are quick to get on a call, Zoom, or even flight if the situation requires higher fidelity discussion.  While this position is remote, there will be mandatory travel throughout the year for company on-sites and ad-hoc travel.

What success looks like

  Manage new pre-delegation assessments, which are crucial to Empassion’s growth,  and manage ongoing delegation relationships; This will require cross-functional communication with operations, data and provider success as well as other departments on an ad-hoc basis.
  Meet regularly with the Growth team to educate on credentialing standards and requirements, provide status updates on existing and new groups, and ensure any deliverables both to and from the Growth team are met.
  Work closely with Operations team and leadership on any cross-functional obligations or special projects to ensure on-time delivery.  
  This role will have ad-hoc projects that will require the candidate to learn as they go and become a SME representing the department.  
  Own critical workflows and manage/lead the execution of special projects.
  Managing the claims submission process in collaboration with Data & Analytics and Partner Success
  Act as a liaison and collaborate with cross-functional teams, both internal and external, to continuously improve the way we work  In-depth research to help create policies, processes and best practices
  Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve the quality of our products and services
  Credentialing and re-credentialing of providers end-to-end, at times managing high volumes of credentialing caseloads and managing Empassion’s Credentialing Committee meetings.  This function has high visibility with Empassion’s Clinical Leadership and requires expert communication on both clinical and administrative matters.

What you will bring

  Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience
  1-3 years of experience managing high profile projects, preferably at a start up or a high growth company 
  A track record of managing and executing complex projects as well as a strong attention to detail
  You have demonstrated success in driving operational improvements and efficiencies
  You are a highly motivated and intellectually curious individual with a proven ability to become a subject-maker expert through independent research and self-directed learning
  The ideal candidate is a resourceful and analytical self-starter who can quickly assimilate new and complex information
  Ability to communicate clearly with sta, leadership and providers
  Highly organized and self-motivated individual with ability to adapt to various workspaces and work autonomously
