Position Summary 

Rekor is seeking an extraordinary General Manager executive, to lead a high-growth product line division focused on achieving and delivering accelerated Sales Revenue, Margin expansion and market share. This customer facing leader will be responsible for scaling Sales Operations while driving profitability across Rekor's AI- powered solution, Scout. The role reports directly to the Interim CEO and will play a critical part in shaping strategic direction and executing against aggressive business goals.

The Contribution: 

  • Proven executive with full P&L responsibility, accountable for leading and directing the Sales strategy across Sales vertical, Sales Operations, and partner channels within a specific product line. 
  • Drives achievement of aggressive sales financial targets—including sales revenue, margin, market share growth, and expand market footprint —through strategic planning and disciplined execution..
  • Manage direct sales team who can drive growth across all customer segments.
  • Lead, develop and inspire a diverse, inclusive high performing collaborative team through learning and development to enable a growth-mindset for all team members
  • Leverages strong existing customer relationships while cultivating new commercial opportunities by clearly articulating Rekor’s product value proposition.
  • Enhance brand visibility, deepen customer engagement, and deliver solutions to meet customer  needs and challenges.
  • Partner closely with Product Management to shape core product offerings and use cases grounded in market demand and channel insights.
  • Identify, engage, and grow indirect customer channels—including system integrators, A&E firms, distributors, OEMs to deal closure and revenue realization.
  • Drive measurable revenue growth through strategic, partner-influenced opportunities that expand reach and accelerate adoption.
  • Establish and nurture long-term strategic relationships with major accounts and partners.
  • Collaborative engagement internally with Finance, Product Management, Engineering, Marketing, to deliver integrated customer centric solutions and drive organizational alignment to delight customers.  
  • Represent and evangelize Rekor at key industry events and conferences to drive influence and build brand awareness and credibility.
  • Leverage a strong understanding and knowledge of this market, trends and direction, sharing intelligence and market research opportunities across Rekor leadership.

A highly energetic and customer focused individual who is knowledgeable about and/or interested in the transportation technology industry and business savvy to deliver state of the art cutting edge technology solutions for our customers. You’re looking for a progressive, entrepreneurial, fast paced, vibrant, flexible working environment where you can pursue your career interests and achieve your full potential. You bring to the organization the following:

  • Minimum 12+ years in Executive Sales Leadership roles with a track record of driving new revenue streams and managing full P&L responsibilities. Industry experience in Transportation Technology, Public Safety, Security, or related sectors strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful business strategies within fast-paced, evolving environments—ideally involving AI-driven technology solutions.
  • Experienced people leader with a strong track record of building, developing, and inspiring high-performing, inclusive teams. Promotes a growth mindset and fosters a culture of collaboration, accountability, and innovation.
  • Strong critical thinking and influential decision-making experience
  • Proactive, results-driven sales leader with bias for action, strong sense of urgency and accountability for closing quarterly revenue.
  • Strong self-awareness ,self-confidence, along with excellent interpersonal skills with diverse audiences across all levels of an organization
  • Demonstrated collaboration, trusted relationship builder, outstanding business ethics, and proven negotiation skills.
  • Proven fast decision-making based on business metrics that matter
  • Travel: 50%+ domestic & possibly some international 
  • Geog: Candidate must be based in the Maryland / DC/ N.VA metro area. In office preferred with hybrid flexibility.
