The Ambulatory Operations Administrative Fellowship offers early-career professionals a hands-on, project-based experience within a dynamic outpatient environment. Fellows gain exposure to the operational, financial, and strategic aspects of ambulatory care delivery. The ambulatory fellow will work directly with leaders across 32 clinics and 15 service lines (25 divisions) to improve access, efficiency, patient experience, and quality outcomes.
Responsibilities
Program Goals
- Provide meaningful, real-world exposure to ambulatory operations and healthcare administration.
- Develop competencies in project management, process improvement, financial analysis, and leadership.
- Foster mentorship and professional growth through direct engagement with executive and operational leaders.
- Prepare fellows for leadership roles in ambulatory care or healthcare operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Support clinic and department leaders in evaluating and improving operational workflows.
- Participate in strategic initiatives such as access optimization, space utilization, staffing models, and patient throughput.
- Conduct data analysis and create dashboards or presentations to inform decision-making.
- Lead or co-lead assigned projects that align with organizational priorities.
- Assist with the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including medical and administrative staff.
- Attend and contribute to leadership and committee meetings.
Learning Opportunities

Qualifications
Minimum Required: Bachelor's Degree. | Minimum Required: Scheduled to certify, license or graduate within 12 months.
