NOTICE OF POSSIBLE WAIVER: To expedite the hiring for this position, the hiring supervisor may apply for a waiver to prevent disruption of necessary instructional or support services.
We are seeking a caring and reliable individual to support the McKinney-Vento Homeless Education Program. This position plays an important role in helping ensure that all students have access to education and support services, regardless of housing situation.
About the Role
In this position, you will:

Assist program coordinators and staff in carrying out program objectives and activities.

Help deliver essential items to families in need.

Transport McKinney-Vento students to and from school, appointments, and other necessary activities.

Maintain a positive, supportive, and student-focused attitude in all interactions.
Note: Employee must be willing to become certified to drive district vehicles vans).
Position Details

Hours: 3.75 hours per day

Contract Length: 120 days per year

Employment Type: 10-month employee on the classified pay schedule
- Status: Part time position - not eligible for benefits
Minimum Qualifications
-
Education: High school diploma or equivalent (required)

Must provide documentation to HR upon recommendation for hire.

Experience: New employees may bring up to 10 years of comparable, full-time, verified experience.
The hired applicant will be responsible for submitting the BCPS Verification of Experience Form to prior employers for completion and return to HR.
Compensation

Step 0: $15.98/hour

Step 10: $19.67/hour
Although classified positions are paid hourly, pay is distributed evenly across the remaining biweekly pay periods in the year.
This position is considered a 10-month employee, with 4 paychecks issued at the end of June.
Salary Calculation Formula:
