Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher preferred.
- Previous experience in medical scheduling or healthcare administrative support, preferably in a gastroenterology or outpatient clinical setting.
- Proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems and scheduling software.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with gastroenterology procedures and terminology.
- Experience working in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Knowledge of medical billing and insurance authorization processes.
- Certification in medical office administration or related field.

Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and schedule endoscopic and other gastroenterology-related procedures in accordance with physician availability and patient needs.
- Communicate effectively with patients to confirm appointments, provide preparation instructions, and answer any procedural questions.
- Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to manage scheduling conflicts, cancellations, and rescheduling requests.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and scheduling information within electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Ensure compliance with privacy regulations and institutional policies while handling sensitive patient information.
