Job Description
You will be the Circuit Card Design Engineer for the Missile & Fire Control (MFC) – Next Gen Short Range Interceptor (NGSRI) team. Our team designs, evaluates, and qualifies circuit cards and test hardware that keep mission critical systems running reliably in harsh, radiation rich environments.
What You Will Be Doing
As the Circuit Card Design Engineer you will lead the architecture, schematic capture, and layout of multiple circuit card assemblies for the NGSRI Guidance Electronic Components Assembly (GECA). You will partner with cross functional engineers to drive designs through the Design Assurance process, from concept through procurement and test. Your responsibilities will include:
• Developing and refining system, performance, interface, and environmental requirements for GECA circuit cards.
• Capturing schematics and coordinating with EPCAD for layout and signal routing optimization.
• Conducting trade studies to evaluate design options and recommending optimal implementations.
• Owning the end to end circuit card design and providing all data and evidence for Design Assurance reviews.
• Collaborating with systems, electromechanical, firmware/software, and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless integration and verification.
• Managing the bill of materials, part sourcing, and prototype build up activities.
• Generating and maintaining technical documentation (architectures, requirements, trade study reports, test plans).
• Supporting rapid design iterations, prototype testing, and issue resolution throughout the development cycle.
• Ensuring compliance with radiation, shock, vibration, and other environmental qualification standards.
