Job Description: The First Nations and Métis Health Associate works closely with the Director , Specialists and SHA partners in Workforce Planning and Employment Strategies (WPES) in leading the implementation of the First Nations and Métis Recruitment and Retention Strategy.  The Associate supports execution of provincial operational and business plans. The Associate must work cross functionally within the provincial portfolio and across the organization to support operations and implement the strategy.  The Associate will work closely with portfolio and other SHA teams and support engagement with educational institutions and community partners. The Associate scope of practice is throughout all provincial system functions, inclusive of OOS and in-scope consultations, engagements and facilitations.

Experience

  • Experience working with First Nations and Metis communities and organizations

Education

  • Business Administration diploma (DBA)
  • A Degree or Diploma in Human Resources Management 

Other Education and Training

  • Licensed, and in good standing, with regulatory body, if applicable
  • Undergraduate degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
