Sanimax is looking to hire a Key Account Manager. This individual can be located out of one of our 3 US locations: South St Paul, Green Bay, or Deforest WI

POSITION PURPOSE

The Key Account Manager is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the relationships of existing and new key account customers. This position will focus on value creation for customers in order to maximize sales opportunities within the U.S. Procurement Team.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND BASIC DUTIES

Maintain and enhance the trust and partnership with existing key customers 

  • Personal contact with customers to provide feedback and reinforce Sanimax relationship and commitment to a successful partnership
  • Understand customer needs to create value added solutions aligned with Sanimax business solutions
  • Communicate industry happenings, market information, and seek value added opportunities
  • Conduct annual business reviews with key stakeholders

Focus on growth and development with new key account customers

  • Build a robust sales funnel of leads/prospects and manage each through the sales process
  • Continuous contact with potential customers, develop and present proposals for gaining business
  • Actively visit customer locations to understand their business and how Sanimax can assist their business needs to grow a mutually beneficial relationship
  • Develop relationships with key stakeholders in the restaurant industry as well as food production industry with a focus on used cooking oil collection.
  • Attend various industry functions to gain leads/prospects and establish relationships

Assume accountability for Profit and Loss for key accounts within restaurant service business focused on Industrial and Chain suppliers

  • Prepare and monitor against budgets
  • Understand accounting and reporting systems and perform analyses regarding business activities
  • Balance acceptable margins while still being competitive
  • Develop and implement pricing and charge programs
  • Manage yield variances and product quality

  PERFORMANCE MEASUREMENTS

  • Key Performance Indicators clearly defined and set within Industrials and Chain business
  • Strong delivery on Sanimax operational excellence focus
  • Growth- New business to be continuously secured – Annual goals set for new customers and volume growth YoY

Minimum Qualifications

  • 3-5 years experience in sales and marketing or procurement in commodity industry.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and passion in the Ag/Food industry preferred
  • Analytic mindset
  • Ability to negotiate and communicate effectively
