SUMMARY
The Seasonal Parking Manager plays a critical role in ensuring smooth, efficient, and guest-friendly parking operations during the 2026 Florida State Fair. This position oversees all third-party vendors responsible for parking lot management and parking fee collection, supervises internal staff assigned to reserved parking areas, and provides on-the-ground leadership to maintain safety, efficiency, and a positive guest experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIE
Vendor Oversights:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for parking lot operations and manage parking lot shuttle vendor(s).
- Oversee daily performance to ensure all parking areas are staffed, directed, and operated safely and efficiently.
- Supervise the vendor team responsible for collecting parking fees at all public entrances.
- Ensure vendors adhere to contract requirements, operational standards, and cash-handling protocols.
Reserved Parking Management
- Manage all reserved parking lots located inside the fairgrounds.
- Monitor access control to ensure only guests with designated passes or credentials park in these areas.
- Supervise and support the staff members assigned to monitor reserved parking areas.
- Resolve any discrepancies or access issues that arise.
Operational Support & Troubleshooting
- Monitor parking flow throughout the event and respond quickly to any operational challenges, including traffic backups, equipment issues, or staffing shortages.
- Implement solutions to maintain smooth ingress/egress and a positive guest experience.
- Coordinate with the COO and other departments to address parking-related concerns.
Communication & Reporting
- Maintain clear communication with Fair Management regarding operations, staffing issues, and vendor performance.
- Prepare daily activity reports summarizing parking operations, challenges, and resolutions.
- Assist with post-fair evaluations and recommendations for future improvements.
Requirements
QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or equivalent. Experience in parking operations, event operations, logistics, or venue management preferred. One year of work-related experience highly preferred. Ability to work long hours, including evenings, weekends, and all fair operating days. Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions. Must have valid Driver’s License.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORKING CONDITIONS:
Duties are occasionally performed in an office setting. Operates computer and standard office equipment, such as telephone and copier/printer. Must be able to stand, walk, sit, use hands, reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, talk, hear, lift or move (more than 50 pounds), and occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl. Environmental demands include exposure to wet/humidity, work near high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, and outdoor weather conditions.
