Your role
The BSRRC Specialist is expected to:
• take an active, leadership role in the conflict clearance and business selection process
• liaise with the Global Banking business to gather relevant details and perform conflict checks
• identify and resolve complex issues arising during the conflict check process while managing deal teams’ expectations around outcome and turnaround time
• lead strategic projects (e.g., enhanced automation and streamlining of processes, banker training, etc.)
• work closely with Compliance and Operational Risk Control on audit and regulatory issues and responses when required
• generate new ideas and creative approaches that help push the business forward
• make sound and balanced judgments (and always within professional, ethical, regulatory and legal standards)
• motivate and inspire others by providing a vision of shared goals
• train, mentor and develop the junior members of the team

Your team
You will be based in Switzerland covering Switzerland, Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) region, working closely with respective counterparts based in the UK, Americas and Asia Pacific (APAC), reporting to the EMEA Head of Conflict Clearance and Business Selection also sitting in Switzerland.
Your expertise
• a minimum of two years of conflicts experience in an investment bank and/or other financial institution
• fluent in English with excellent oral and written communication skills
• strength in analyzing complex situations on a compressed timetable
• proven ability to manage multiple projects in an efficient manner and bring them to a timely completion
• strong organizational skills and high attention to detail
• strong work ethic and pro-activity
• excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Power Point, Word, Excel and online research tools
• comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment with high sense of urgency / multi-tasking skills
• able to work in close consultation with others as part of a small team and interact directly with a wide group of professionals throughout the firm including senior leadership
• flexible regarding work hours if needed to support the business as this is a front-line position
