Description
The primary job duties of the GF Support Staff are to: A) conduct screening of participants for clinical studies, B) perform phlebotomy by direct venipuncture during screening activities and during return blood draws, C) assist in the clinical processing of laboratory samples during return blood draws, and D) complete additional study related tasks to assist in meeting all protocol requirements.
- Ability to communicate clearly with staff and subjects.
- Perform all activities at screening as required by study protocol. Activities may include, but not limited to: obtaining height and weight measurements and calculating BMI, collecting vital signs, performing an electrocardiogram (ECG), collecting medical history information and collecting blood and urine samples for clinical laboratory testing.
- Assist Physician for conducting Physical exams.
- Review the consent forms thoroughly and clearly with subjects and answer all questions to help ensure understanding.
- Ensure all data collection is attributable, legible, contemporaneous, original and accurate.
- Schedule flexibility to meet the needs of study requirements.
- Accurately process subject samples.
- Document information as it relates to samples processing and storage.
- Communicate with other staff regarding progress and issues.
- Execute other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Preferred: Current ND LPN or CNA License
