Position Summary:
As a Household Hazardous Waste Technician (HHW Technician), you will be tasked with following and implementing proper safety procedures in accordance with 49 CFR standards and FCC Environmental policies. You will be working with an experienced team of technicians as well as a management team that will support professional growth.
Principle Responsibilities:
Uphold health and safety measures by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and always acting in a safe manner
Interacting with customers in a friendly and professional manner
Communicate with you direct lead/supervisor ensure all contractual obligations are met to complete requested services, project progression status
Performing physical labor duties (i.e. moving various hazardous and non-hazardous waste)
Safe off-loading of household hazardous waste from vehicles at Household Hazardous Waste collection jobs
Ability to load trucks at the beginning and end of each week;
Pack chemicals in bulk packaging for shipment
Make sure proper housekeeping and storage regulations meet with the 49CFR standards.
Experience and Competencies:
Be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Up-to-date OSHA Hazwoper 40-hour certificate
Forklift certified preferred
Strong reasoning and guidance skills when handling hazardous materials.
Pay rate:
$19 per hour
