Description
AP Analyst
Wisconsin Aluminum Foundry – Manitowoc, WI
If you’re the kind of person who finds satisfaction in getting the details right, the one who spots the missing penny, the unmatched invoice, or the reconciliation that finally balances; Wisconsin Aluminum Foundry wants you on our team.
For over 116 years, we’ve been crafting high-quality aluminum castings that help power industries across the globe. But the secret behind our success isn’t just our products, it’s our people. We take pride in hard work, integrity, and teamwork, and we’re looking for an Accounts Payable Analyst who shares those same values.
This isn’t your typical “enter invoices and move on” kind of role. As our AP Analyst, you’ll own the full accounts payable process from start to finish and play a key role in keeping our financial operations smooth, accurate, and audit-ready. You’ll collaborate across departments, help uncover process improvements, and ensure vendors are paid correctly and on time.
Your day-to-day will include:
- Managing the full AP cycle – from coding invoices and matching purchase orders to obtaining approvals and processing payments.
- Preparing check runs, ACH, and wire transfers while maintaining complete accuracy and compliance.
- Investigating discrepancies and reconciling vendor statements to keep records clean and current.
- Processing monthly journal entries and reconciliations for closing periods.
- Partnering with the Controller to streamline workflows and identify efficiencies.
- Assisting with hourly payroll audits and ensuring data accuracy each week.
- Tracking daily banking and positive pay submissions to maintain strong cash controls.
- Collecting and reconciling employee credit card receipts to keep corporate spending transparent.
To be successful in this role, you must:
- Bring at least 2 years of accounting or accounts payable experience (manufacturing experience a plus)
- Hold Associate’s Degree in Accounting (Bachelor’s preferred)
- Demonstrate a solid understanding of general accounting principles
- Be proficient in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups, and formulas)
- Communicate effectively, think analytically and work well in a team environment.
