POSITION: Warehouse Manager
LOCATION: Statesville, NC
REPORTS TO: General Manager
SUMMARY
Responsible for directing and coordinating activities of drivers and warehouse employees engaged in loading, unloading, storing, transferring, and distributing products and for maintenance of equipment, warehouse and yard spaces by performing the following duties:
RESPONSIBILTIES
Coordinates activities of truck drivers and warehouse employees after reviewing picking tickets, purchase orders or transfers to plan loading, shipping priorities and methods to used meet delivery schedules for customer orders
Communicates with sales, customer service, purchasing and production departments to review inventory on hand and customer orders to ensure availability of product
Establishes and/or follows operational procedures for verification of incoming and outgoing shipments, handling and disposition of product, and control of warehouse inventories
Oversees incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and condition of shipments of purchase order to bill of lading prior to receipt
Responsible for maintaining tractors and trailers, forklifts and buildings or equipment at all area locations
Implements, maintains and supports all company policies and procedures including safety programs and DOT regulations and BIT inspections. This includes good housekeeping by keeping warehouse and yard areas neat, clean and well organized
Actively promotes adherence to corporate Quality, Sanitation, GMP standards to achieve a finished product within quality control specifications
Additional duties as assigned by management.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILTIES
Directly supervises truck drivers and warehouse employees.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees, addressing complaints and resolving problems.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Bilingual English/Spanish required.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
COMPUTER SKILLS
To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Inventory software; Order processing systems; Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Requires current Forklift Certification or the ability to pass certification.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Knowledge of basic production processes and inventory controls both internal and external is very helpful. Familiarity with DOT regulations, logistics and equipment required.
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
Must be at work during business hours and available whenever needed both at night and on the weekends during seasonal peaks. Attendance and/or availability is critical to managing areas of responsibility.
