Position Duties
Journey-level DWW Collection Workers may be assigned to any of these crews:
- Rehab
- Underground Storage
- Line and Grade
- Surface Water Management
- Receive, complete and document work order details utilizing automated wireless, handheld, and work station devices along with various software programs.
- Ensure the safe operation of all equipment and tools including CDL Class B vehicles on public right-of-way.
- Direct, coach, train, and mentor Drainage and Waste Water Collection Worker apprentices, and temporary employees.
- Evaluate the performance of Drainage and Waste Water Collection Worker Apprentices.
- Perform other related duties of a comparable level/type as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
License/Certification:
- Current valid driver license from any state at time of application
- Candidates must obtain a Washington State driver license on or before the date of hire.
- Candidates must provide proof of driving record by submitting their Full Abstract Driving Record as part of the application material.
- Your Full Abstract Driving Record must not be older than 30 days from the date of application submission.

Examples of INCORRECT Abstracts:
- State of Washington Commercial Class B driver license, Tanker endorsement with the Air Brake restriction removed required within four (4) months of employment.
- Flagging Certificate and First Aid Card must be obtained within four (4) months of hire.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience performing physically demanding or outdoor work
- Familiarity with using tools and working with your hands
- Experience working in varied weather conditions or environments
- Ability to work in a team setting
- Ability to engage in a classroom environment
- Experience with labor intensive tasks
- Understands and follows all safety practices in work environments
Other Qualifications
The full salary range for this position is: $39.41 - 44.29 per hour.
