The role you’ll contribute:

 

The Executive Director, Assistant Chief Nursing Officer (ACNO) oversees clinical operations, staffing, financial management, regulatory compliance, performance improvement, and maintaining policies and procedures. This role is responsible for planning, organizing, directing, and evaluating designated nursing service functions and activities for assigned patient care programs/units to ensure delivery of optimal quality of care and organizational effectiveness. The ACNO integrates the Nursing Department's services with the hospital's primary functions and coordinates services within various specialized departments. This role leads efforts to deliver exceptional patient experience, creating a care environment centered on empathy, communication, respect, and responsiveness. In addition, this position provides direct administrative oversight of Inpatient and Emergency Department services, along with other departments as requested. Additionally, this role develops and implements policies and procedures, recommends qualified and competent staff, and ensures staff qualifications meet patient care needs.

  • Collaborates with nursing staff, interdisciplinary teams, medical staff, and executive officers to develop, implement, and evaluate programs and services.
  • Assesses performance based on professional standards, studies, regulations, and organizational criteria to identify strengths and areas for development.
  • Maintains responsibility for all assigned departments on a 24/7 basis, unless otherwise approved.
  • Integrates evidence-based knowledge to identify best practices in nursing care delivery.

The expertise and experience you’ll need to succeed:

 

  • Master's of Nursing [Required]
  • 2+ Years of health care management [Required]

 

Licenses and Certifications:

  • Registered Nurse (RN) [Required]
  • Basic Life Support - CPR Cert (BLS) [Required]
