MARKETING COORDINATOR
This position is an integral part of the UNF team, working in support of Arts UNF and the Museum of Contemporary Art Jacksonville (MOCA), and will collaborate with departments and units across the university. This position will be a member of a fast-paced marketing and communications team, supporting all communications functions, including but not limited to media outreach, research, monitoring, report generation, digital communications, writing assignments internal and external communications management, and crisis management. This position works under the supervision of the Director of Communications or above to implement messaging for the museum and university that supports the strategic plans of both, while enhancing their image and reputation within the community, region, and museum and higher education fields.
KEY JOB FUNCTIONS:
Assists with the content and messaging of all Arts UNF and museum communications
Coordinates with Director on marketing strategies and campaigns for exhibitions, programs, events, initiatives, and announcements
Generates content for use across communications and maintains the conceptual look and feel of assets in alignment with appropriate brand standards for internal and external communications through written, electronic, web, visual, and/or verbal communication channels
Implements and adheres to marketing approval processes and assists in enforcing museum and university brand strategy and visual identity guidelines
Creates content and designs for promotional materials, including but not limited to publications, websites, e-mails, digital newsletters, invitations, calendars and event postings, social media, public and media relations, signage, presentations, reports, photo and video content, and other promotional materials
Manages the planning, daily functions, and implementation of electronic communication channels (web, email, social media, calendars, and other digital channels)
Manages digital asset files, including editing, organizing, and tagging photo, video, graphic, and brand assets for easy retrieval
Creates and edits branded templates for use by museum departments
Assists in the planning, development, and implementation of public relations strategies and serves as a point of contact for external partners and media
Researches, writes, and distributes news releases to targeted media and assists with coordinating news conferences, media tours, photo opportunities, and speaking opportunities
Fosters public relations through outreach events and involvement in community initiatives
Creates and edits branded templates for use by museum departments
Collates media coverage, collateral, social media statistics, and other data related to the department and creates reports at least quarterly
Assists with market research to determine the concerns and expectations of the organization's stakeholders
During a declared emergency, this position may be required to perform specific job-related duties at a designated off-site location or place of residence.
Creates and edits branded templates for use by museum departments
MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:
This position is expected to attend some cultural, university, and community events as a representative of the museum and Arts UNF.
Required Qualifications
Master's or Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Stat. 112.219.
