What is the Role?


The Director of East Coast Partnerships is responsible for ensuring we maintain strong relationships with our partners and meet the contractual obligations of our contracts. They will lead a team of City and Transit Partnership Managers on the East Coast who manage the day-to-day operations of a portfolio of partner contracts. In this role, they oversee the strategic business decisions and contractual issues that arise over the normal course of business with a contract. They drive our business forward through strong partner relationships, effective problem solving with internal operations teams, and strong collaboration with the several Senior team members across the organization. This person will report directly to our President & COO and also work closely with their West Coast counterpart to develop and maintain processes that keep internal teams up to date with accurate information on our contracts including but not limited to: new market onboarding; new contracts/contract changes; reporting, construction impacts, new product development.


What you will accomplish:

  • Relationship Manager - high-level relationship management, in collaboration with the Transit Partnership Manager, local Sales Director, and President/COO
  • Convener - act as the glue between internal cross-functional teams so that we are aligned on communications, held accountable for deliverables, and drive progress forward as it relates to commitments to our partners
  • Strategic Communicator - are comfortable developing and delivering communications at all levels with clarity and precision both written and verbally

Manage a team of Transit Partner Managers (3 TPMs)

  • Maintain framework for relationship and contract management that is utilized by all TPMs
    • Key for organization and transparency of our contractual obligations and how we are fulfilling them
    • Support team on standardized monthly reporting
  • Develop TPMs to be confident relationship managers, strategic communicators, and obsessed with knowing the details of our commitments
  • Oversee the Quarterly Business Review process across all markets
  • Build relationship with the VP of Market Growth to support profitability efforts, as needed - provide internal data and insights on the local market/TA
  • Provide clear direction and coaching to Partnership Manager on goals, priorities, and timing

Own strategic partner relationship(s)

  • Build and maintain high-level relationships with key contacts across the East Coast portfolio of contracts. 
  • Lead on strategic business decisions and provide executive relationship management - provide direction to internal teams to deliver on commitments
  • Act as a liaison between the municipal transit authority and Intersection on contractual or legal matters
  • Support Partnership Manager to manage day-to-day relationship and business operations of the contract
  • Support internal teams (BD, VP Market Growth) to secure contract extensions and renewals
  • Represent market to the gov’t, press, public and work with local lobbyists

You're a great fit for this role because:

  • +8 years experience in account management role (project management and working with municipal authorities experience is a plus)
  • Key Characteristics: 
    • Experienced Relationship  Manager in a complex environment - understands the strategic and tactical elements of managing a long-term relationship with a complex business model.
    • Systems thinker - highly organized and can keep others organized to team systems/ processes
    • Sound business judgement; 
    • Strong communication and presentation skills - experience communicating at all levels of an organization
    • Has worked successfully in a networked organization
  • The role involves engaging with cross-functional team members, executive staff, vendors, sales teams and partners. You must possess the ability to promote collaborative decision-making, provide direction and establish a sense of urgency amongst the project team.

Compensation Range $150,000 - $200,00
