Position Overview

dormakaba is seeking a Machinist II based in Indianapolis, IN. The Machinist II is responsible for performing machine setups and tool changes and making adjustments, as necessary.

This position is available on Second Shift (2PM – 10:30PM) with a base pay range of $23 hr. - $27/hr.  Mandatory overtime as needed.

$2,000 Sign-on Bonus (details provided during interview)

What you will do

• Operate machine according to standard operating instructions
• Document and inspect quality of work per Quality Assurance Inspection Procedure (QAIP)
• Use micrometers, height gauges, calipers, and comparator
• Understand work orders and routings
• Follow all environmental, health, & safety policies and procedures
• Daily 5Shousekeeping

What we require

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Extensive experience (operating, setups, tool changes, etc.)
• Understanding of: shop math, blueprint reading/comprehension, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
• Experience using precision measuring instruments
• Ability to perform advanced quality inspections

• SAP or Enterprise system knowledge
• Documented manufacturing education/training
• Experience in applying similar quality control concepts
• Computer proficiency
• Lean skills
• Fluency in both verbal and written English
